STEPS IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS
STEP ONE: Complete the application form in TADS
- For families interested in the Pre-Kindergarten Three (PreK3) program, prospective students must be 3 by September 1 to be eligible to enroll and fully potty trained (able to use the toilet independently without wearing Pull-Ups). Pre-Kindergarten Four (PreK4) prospective students must be 4 by September 1 and fully potty trained.
- For families interested in Kindergarten, prospective students must be 5 by September 1 to be eligible to enroll.
- All students and their families are required to apply through TADS by clicking here and submitting the non-refundable $150 application fee per family.
STEP TWO: Submit the most recent report card, progress reports, and IEP/504/CAP plans where applicable and complete the entrance assessment. Families may also schedule a tour, by appointment only, by contacting the the Director of Enrollment (director@stjosrcs.org)
- Provide a copy of all report cards, standardized assessments, and IEP/504/CAP plans where applicable.
- A school official will contact prospective families to set up an appointment for new student testing in math and reading (Grades K - 8) and a school-readiness assessment for prospective Pre-Kindergarten students. Our prospective student shadow-day visits are temporarily suspended due to the pandemic.
Parents of prospective students will be notified via email and/or receive a courtesy phone call regarding the status of the application. Please note that decisions for the 2022-2023 school year will be made within one week of the new student assessment.
STEP FOUR: Submit forms, paperwork, and enroll before June 1
- 1. Complete the enrollment process by clicking on the link in the acceptance email or by selecting the "Enrollment" tab in TADS within 3 days of acceptance.
- 2. Submit the completed Parish Verification Form (All families) and submit the Parish Covenant (practicing Catholic families only) ASAP
- 3. Please submit the following forms to the office before June 1
- Original copy of birth certificate (a copy will be made)
- Baptismal certificate (for Catholics only)
- Current immunization record & Archdiocese of Washington Immunization Policy Acknowledgement
- Social security number (foreign students must provide documentation as stated in Archdiocesan Guidelines)
- Records release form (where applicable)
- Proof of custody (where applicable)
- Emergency Form (Pre-K students only)
- Parents Guide To Regulated Child Care (Pre-K students only)
- Medical forms (where applicable)
- 4. In TADS - Accept your tuition agreement, select your payment dates, and make the first required fee payment by June 20.
STEP FIVE: Preparing for the first day of school in August
- Your child must complete their summer assignment. This information is posted on the website under the "Parents & Students" tab by June 1.
- Purchase school supplies from the supply list. This information is posted on the website under the "Parents & Students" tab by June 1.
- Obtain school uniforms from Risse Brothers and/or gently-used items from our Uniform Exchange housed at the school.
