ALTAR SERVERS
Students from grades four through eight are eligible to be trained as Altar Servers. This ministry is both an honor and a privilege - a wonderful opportunity to take full advantage of all the benefits of a Catholic parish school education. Students serve at weekend Masses and on other special occasions. (Adults also serve in this ministry.)
BAND
The Archdiocesan Band Program offers instrumental lessons and a group band experience in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Washington.
BUNDLES OF LOVE CLUB
Nationally recognized club whose members collect items, make cards and compile the bundles for the homeless, in the metropolitan area.
CHOIR
CYO SPORTS
Students in grades Kindergarten through eight may participate in a variety of sports sponsored by the Catholic Youth Organization. Programs are offered through both St. Joseph Parish and St. Hugh of Grenoble Parish. CYO attempts to balance competition with good sportsmanship, fairness in play and personal and spiritual growth.
ELIZABETH HOUSE
Our students make lunches for delivery to Elizabeth House, each month.
IT'S ACADEMIC
Students practice to compete in a regional Catholic middle school meet.
LATIN CLUB
Students learn Latin and explore Roman culture.
LEGO CLUB
Extend STEM learning with Simple Machine designs and develops critical thinking and creativity powered machines and robotics.
NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
A middle school service organization, admission is based on nomination by their teachers.
ORATORY CLUB
Public speaking, the culmination being participation in the Knights of Columbus oratory contest in the spring.
RECYCLING CLUB
Recycling and a green lifestyle helping to keep our world clean.
SAFETY PATROL
The Safety Patrol Program provides an opportunity for leadership and responsibility. Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students are eligible to become members of the safety patrol under the direction of a faculty adviser. Middle school students assist with arrival & dismissal. Students will help clean up the environment.
SET CLUB
Students help build sets for Christmas Program and other events.
STEM CLUB
Students enrolled in Prek- 4th grade are able to explore careers in STEM through hands-on learning and discovery.
STUDENT COUNCIL
Officers and representatives from each grade participate in student council meetings and activities to serve the school and community.
YEARBOOK
Students create/design their class pages.
