Dear Friends,

It is my honor and distinct pleasure to humbly serve you as the Principal of St. Joseph’s Regional Catholic School. I am grateful to be joining a community that has a rich history of academic excellence while raising a generation of leaders who exemplify Catholic principles of love, kindness, peace, and service. This important endeavor requires a continued commitment from our faculty and staff to support your efforts as parents, the primary educator(s) of your child(ren). You have my assurance that this unified effort is of paramount importance to me as your principal and as a parent.

Before serving at St. Joseph’s, I have worked in the field of education for nearly a decade in various capacities. At the postsecondary level as a graduate research scientist, I conducted educational research on student achievement. At the secondary level, I was a science teacher and an Instructional Dean of Science. My academic background is as follows: Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with minors in Biology and Neuroscience from Wesleyan College, Master of Arts degree in Curriculum & Instruction from The University of Central Florida, and a Specialist and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from The University of Florida. My decision to actively pursue formal education was an outcome of the wisdom of my parents coupled with my desires from the high expectations of Catholic schools.

As a product of 12 years of Catholic education in Jamaica, I am cognizant of the opportunities that a solid foundation rooted in Christian values, discipline, and exemplary academics provides. Together, we will continue to uphold this rich Catholic tradition in which the spiritual, social, academic, and physical needs of our children are met. Furthermore, as a school community, we will honor your trust to love and educate your most prized treasure(s). To accomplish this, we will consistently communicate with you about all aspects of your child’s development. We will provide ample opportunities for our children to learn and live their faith and develop a closer relationship with our Savior. Finally, we are dedicated to ensuring that our children have access to a world-class education based on the fundamentals of high expectations, discipline, rigor, and relevance. I look forward to the pleasure of meeting you and getting to know you personally as we embark on this journey together to develop a culture of thinkers and believers. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me.

                                                                                                                                  Sincerely in Christ,
                                                                                                                                Dr. Janine Bertolotti

What Our Parents Are Saying

I LOVE this school! I have a 5th grader and a 6th grader who both started at St. Joseph's in Kindergarten. The staff is amazing - they all treat the students like their extended family. The middle school team is just that... a TEAM who works together to ensure the students are well prepared for High School. They are aware of tests, quizzes and papers that other teachers have assigned and they take care to make sure the students are working to their full potential but are not overloaded. I love many of the community building events St. Joseph's has every year - a crab feast in the fall, a 5K and one mile fun run, monthly basket bingo nights, pasta dinners and a Multicultural Pot Luck Night in the spring! I can't say enough positive about the school. If you are looking for a quality education for your child in a small, personal class setting, you should set up an appointment to visit the school...you won't be disappointed!
